Business data decays at a rate if over 13 times per minute

New analysis highlights the challenges faced by small businesses in avoiding dirty business data.

Business data decays at the rate of over 13 times per minute, according to analysis released today by SalesJoe, a new lead management tool powered by Creditsafe.

SalesJoe identifies the figure after analysing 5 million UK businesses and the quantity of changes to company names, addresses, directors and credit risk information across all major business sectors over a 12-month period.

The professional, scientific, and technical services sector amassed the largest number of business information changes (1.9 million), followed by the construction sector (1.3 million). At the other end of the scale, public administration had the least amount of changes to its information (21,000).

The analysis was conducted by SalesJoe via Creditsafe’s database to highlight the speed at which business data decays and how most data lists purchased by businesses today are effectively out of date by tomorrow.
